Role Overview

- Stoel Rives' Sacramento Office is seeking an Environmental/Natural Resources Litigation Associate with 4+ years of experience in environmental, land use, and/or natural resources law
- The role offers exceptional first-hand experience on sophisticated legal matters through work with senior lawyers and clients
- Areas of focus include water rights, energy development, agency permitting, land use, and pollution control laws
- Associates in this group enjoy close collaboration, working in teams, leadership opportunities, and developing deep expertise on issues important to clients

Skills Needed to Be Effective in This Role

- Litigation experience with environmental, land use, and/or natural resource issues is required
- Experience in administrative proceedings or with regulatory compliance is preferred
- Commercial litigation experience with one or more of the above is also acceptable

- Self-motivation
- A commitment to client service and team success
- Clerkship or externship experience with a federal or state court is preferred
