Law Firm is Seeking Experienced Government Contracts Counsel/Member Law Firm is seeking an experienced attorney with relevant federal government contracting experience to join its growing Business Department remotely, or in its Baltimore, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit or West Palm Beach offices. Job Responsibilities: • Advise clients on bid protests, claims and performance disputes, terminations for default or convenience, regulatory compliance advice and counseling, internal investigations, mandatory disclosures, False Claims Act issues, SBA regulations and programs, Organizational Conflicts of Interest, suspension and debarment, cost issues including Cost Accounting Standards and allowability, GSA Federal Supply Schedule and Multiple Award Schedule Contracts, and negotiation of prime and subcontracts, teaming, joint ventures, and mentor-protégé agreements. • Provide legal services to clients in the government contract industry. • Keep abreast of new laws, regulations, and policies related to government contracts. • Maintain an active docket of cases in the government contracting space. • Handle day-to-day activities that include research, writing, and attending meetings, conferences, and hearings. • Monitor and respond to changes in the law, regulations, and policies. • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other professionals in the government contracting space. • Mentor and train junior attorneys. • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. • Must be a current member in good standing of the bar of at least one state. • At least 6 years of relevant legal experience in the government contracting space. • Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and other applicable regulations. • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Portable business is necessary.
