Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Guide retirement and welfare benefit plans, including plan design, implementation, and administration.
  • Assist clients in navigating benefits issues during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to employee benefits matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and participant communications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Stay abreast of developments in employee benefits law and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits law, preferably with expertise in retirement and welfare benefit plans.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
  • Prior experience in a law firm environment is preferred; however, candidates with experience in accounting or consulting firms will be considered.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
