A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney for their defense litigation team in Atlanta, GA.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Attorney will provide legal representation to Insurance carriers and their insureds, handling various legal tasks, including preparing pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, and negotiating settlements. The role involves close collaboration with clients and claims partners to ensure timely reporting on litigation progress and leveraging appropriate defenses for positive outcomes.

Duties:

  • Represent Insurance carriers and their insureds in litigation matters.
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, and negotiate settlements.
  • Collaborate with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation.
  • Analyze written discovery, depositions, and medical records.
  • Assess the value of claims to determine risk exposure.
  • Manage multiple priorities and caseloads with strong organizational skills.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Georgia.
  • 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • 1+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Admission and good standing with the State of GA Bar.

Certifications:

  • Doctorate or better in Law.

Skills:

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with insurance defense matters and billing guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in handling discovery preparing pleadings, and motions.
