The Law Firm is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate to join our Data Strategy, Security, and Privacy team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal issues related to data strategy and privacy compliance. We are looking for someone with 2-4 years of legal experience, a strong understanding of privacy laws, and the ability to provide practical and business-friendly advice to our clients.

As an Attorney DSSP Advisory Associate, you will be responsible for providing legal advice on data strategy, privacy, and security matters. This includes advising clients on the development of enterprise privacy programs, analyzing privacy legislation, reviewing consumer disclosures and policy documents, and identifying privacy and security risks in product design and business partnerships. You may also be asked to assist with incident response and transactional diligence from time-to-time.

To be considered for this position, you must have 2-4 years of legal experience and be admitted to the bar in the state of practice. You should also have experience providing legal advice on privacy and/or data strategy issues and be familiar with privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, GDPR, and COPPA. Additionally, prior technology experience and CIPP/US certification are preferred.

We are looking for candidates who have strong communication skills and the ability to draft memos in business-friendly language. Prior experience in technology, such as software development or employment at a tech company, is also helpful in this role.

This position is open to candidates in several locations, including New York, Colorado, and California. The salary range for these locations is $225,000 - $310,000/yr, in accordance with state pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.
