As an Associate Attorney at Hawkins Parnell, you will be involved in all stages of litigation, from pre-suit claim investigation to trial and appeal. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and summarizing legal documents, conducting research on both legal and factual matters, evaluating cases and developing strategic defenses, and representing clients in client meetings, depositions, hearings, and mediations. You will also have the opportunity to work on a wide range of subject areas and clients, providing a diverse and enriching experience.

To be considered for this role, you must be actively licensed and in good standing with the State of Georgia. You should also possess critical thinking and research skills, strong writing and analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills with superior attention to detail. Ideally, you will have 1-5 years of experience in defense litigation, with a focus on professional liability and/or coverage cases. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities and meeting strict deadlines, is crucial. Additionally, you should be a self-starter who can take initiative and welcome challenges, while also being able to work collaboratively within a strong team. Experience with reviewing and interpreting financial records is a plus.
