Responsibilities and Duties

As a Bio Patent Counseling Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of patent-related matters, including:
- Developing and managing patent portfolios for pre-public and discovery stage biotechnology pharmaceutical companies
- Conducting non-infringement and invalidity analysis
- Representing clients in patent disputes before the USPTO
- Providing strategic international patent portfolio development and life cycle management for established, publicly traded international pharmaceutical companies
- Conducting IP due diligence for transactions and infringement defense and avoidance

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Hold a . in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
- Have at least 4 years of experience in patent counseling and prosecution, preferably in the life sciences industry
- Prior experience representing biotech companies and investors is a plus
- Must be registered to practice before the USPTO

Salary Information

Salary for this position is $310,000 or more, commensurate with class year and experience. Our firm offers competitive compensation packages and benefits, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
