Tax Managing Director, Core Tax Services - Miami, FL

Experience:

- 10+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services
- Industry expertise in one or more tax specialties preferred
- Prior supervisory experience required

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics (major preferred)
- Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation (preferred)

License/Certifications:

- CPA, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) required
- Other professional degrees or certifications applicable to role preferred

Responsibilities:

- Apply industry knowledge to advise clients on tax implications, evaluate and select alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, and identify methods of complying with tax regulations
- Act as primary client contact for complex tax issues and make top-level decisions regarding filing, preparation, and resolution of questions from federal/state agencies
- Supervise and review work of associates, senior associates, and managers
- Provide performance feedback and act as Career Advisor to team members
- Develop and maintain client relationships and actively participate in marketing, networking, and business development
- Conduct research and analyze complex tax issues, reporting findings clearly and concisely
- Apply technical expertise in areas such as ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals, tax consulting, tax specialization, and strategy development
- Introduce and develop new or improved ideas to improve client position and Firm success
- Other duties as required

Qualifications:

- Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to delegate work effectively and manage a team of tax professionals
- Executive presence and ability to act as primary client contact
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with tax research databases and compliance software
- Superior understanding of tax laws and regulations and ability to apply them to client situations
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Salary Information:

Individual salaries are determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, and location. The salary ranges for this position in various locations are:

- California: $190,000 - $335,000
- Colorado: $170,000 - $225,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $205,000 - $250,000
- Washington: $180,000 - $240,000
