Job Overview: A reputable creditors’ rights law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Georgia office. This role offers an opportunity to litigate collection matters, handle discovery, participate in trials, and demonstrate strong performance in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of litigation or collections experience and a desire to take on courtroom responsibilities. Location:

  • Alpharetta, GA

Duties:

  • Review documents, financials, notices, and demand letters to ensure compliance with conditions precedent before filing actions
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate legal actions
  • Ensure internal systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Handle contested matters, including discovery and trials
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections regulations
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of litigation or collections experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workloads in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Bar membership in Georgia (required)
  • Additional bar memberships in other states (., Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, or Pennsylvania) are a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Georgia (required)
  • Additional bar memberships in other states are a plus

Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced computer and office skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
