The Law Firm of Mike Arnold is looking for an Associate Trial Attorney to join their team in Eugene, Oregon. This position offers a potential for remote work and opportunities for growth throughout the state.

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead trial lawyers in managing a caseload from intake through litigation, trial, and settlement
• Draft legal documents, conduct legal research, and prepare for court appearances, trials, and depositions
• Work directly with clients to manage their expectations and deliver legal advice
• Collaborate with our team to develop effective case strategies
• Show initiative and work independently with an eye toward growth and future leadership opportunities

Qualifications:

•
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a legal role; courtroom experience is strongly preferred, either as a lawyer trying cases or as a judicial clerk
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and a desire for career growth
• Strategic minded with a history of creative thinking and problem solving
• Evidence of discipline, such as mastery of a hobby, a sport, etc.
• Turning exposure to hardship into insights about the human condition that are transferable to brutal cross-examination skills and strategic mindset
• A history of hard work, particularly in manual labor, is a plus
