Salary Information: Starting salary for associate positions in our Denver office is $190,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Associates are eligible to participate in Michael Best’s associate bonus program.

Job Description:

- Seeking a Mid-Level Patent Associate with at least 2 years of patent drafting and prosecution experience
- Must have experience in video encoding and video codecs, including relevant standards
- Ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- Experience in virtual/augmented reality and AI is a plus

Job Requirements:

- 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house is required
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- Strong knowledge and experience in video processing and video codecs
- Familiar with video coding standards
- Experience in virtual/augmented reality and AI is a plus
- Graduate-level experience or advanced technical degree is a plus
- Admission to the USPTO is a plus

Salary Information for Colorado Applicants: As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, the starting salary for associate positions in our Denver office is $190,000.
