## Patent Associate - Life Sciences Law Firm is looking for an experienced Patent Associate to join their Life Sciences patent group. This is a great opportunity to work in one of their offices in Boston, Boulder, New York, Palo Alto, San Diego, San Francisco/SOMA, Washington ., and Los Angeles. The successful candidate will have 1-4 years of patent prosecution law firm experience, patent bar membership, and a background in cell or molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cancer biology, pharmacology, biophysics, or digital health focused disciplines. An advanced degree is required and prior patent agent experience is preferred. ### Responsibilities * Draft and prosecute patent applications * Prepare patent opinion letters * Provide IP counseling to clients * Conduct patent due diligence studies in connection with business transactions * Supervise junior attorneys and patent agents ### Qualifications * 1-4 years of patent prosecution law firm experience * Patent bar membership * Background in cell or molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cancer biology, pharmacology, biophysics, or digital health focused disciplines * Advanced degree * Prior patent agent experience preferred * Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills * Superior academic credentials ### Compensation The salary range for this role is $215,000 - $295,000, based on year classification, with the potential for discretionary merit bonuses. Qualification and Experience Patent Bar Membership, Background in Cell or Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Cancer Biology, Pharmacology, Biophysics, or Digital Health Focused Disciplines. Advanced Degrees Required. Prior Patent Agent Experience Preferred.
