## Patent Associate - Life Sciences

Law Firm is seeking a bright and talented Patent Associate to join their Life Sciences Patent Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work in their offices based in Boston, Boulder, New York, Palo Alto, San Diego, San Francisco/SOMA, Washington ., and Los Angeles.

### Qualifications

This role requires a background in one of the following fields: cell or molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cancer biology, pharmacology, biophysics, or digital health focused disciplines. Additionally, applicants should have:
- 1-4 years of patent prosecution law firm experience
- Patent bar membership
- Advanced degrees
- Prior patent agent experience (preferred but not required)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Superior academic credentials

### Responsibilities

This role will involve:
- Drafting and prosecuting patent applications
- Preparing patent opinion letters
- Providing IP counseling to clients
- Conducting patent due diligence studies in connection with business transactions
- Supervising junior attorneys and patent agents as part of global client service teams

### Compensation

This role offers a salary range of $215,000 - $295,000, based on year classification. Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded. In addition, Law Firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
