H2: Indivisible Seeking Associate Counsel for Election and Tax Law Compliance

Indivisible, a progressive grassroots organization, is seeking an Associate Counsel to lead election and tax law compliance activities across the national organization. This full-time remote position offers a minimum salary of $98,700 annually, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

- Support Compliance Manager in developing and managing data systems, procedures, and processes for campaign finance reporting and time tracking.
- Develop and update legal risk and compliance education and training materials for employees at all levels.
- Provide programmatic guidance and communicate legal implications to stakeholders.
- Monitor changes in tax and election law and conduct independent research.
- Assist with research and recommendations for employment law and labor management.
- Consult with senior leadership on legal guidance for program priorities.
- Review and provide guidance on contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience.
- Membership in good standing of any state bar association.

Desirable Qualifications:

- Strong work ethic and ability to balance organizational needs with legal compliance.
- High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Google Office suite.
- Able to work occasional irregular and long hours.
