Salary Information: - $205,000 to $215,000 per year Job Title: - Associate in Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation – Life Sciences Experience Information: - Requires Juris Doctor of Law and Bachelor's or higher degree in Biotechnology, or another natural science field - 1 month of experience in job offered or as Patent Prosecution & Trademarks Intern - Background must include at least 90 days in paid or unpaid internships or employment focused on . Patent Law - Background or experience in Intellectual Property (IP) Law - Background including exposure to substantive patent law cases, including cases involving claim construction Job Responsibilities: - Provide sophisticated legal advice to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and other life sciences clients from around the world - Utilize advanced technical knowledge required to tackle complex IP disputes, including patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, as well as Section 337 investigations (unfair import investigations) - Utilize advanced technical knowledge in life sciences to effectively represent innovators, patent holders, and brand owners in federal courts, before the International Trade Commission (ITC), in administrative proceedings, and in arbitration and mediation - Draft specialized legal documents including court actions and memoranda related to substantive law and procedures - Advise clients and colleagues on legal systems and legal business practices - Consult with existing and prospective clients to analyze relevant legal and business requirements, as well as advise and instruct legal staff on appropriate means to accomplish these requirements - Research and draft legal memoranda and pleadings - Represent clients before federal, state, and local agencies and courts Requirements: - Juris Doctor of Law and Bachelor's or higher degree in Biotechnology, or another natural science field - 1 month of experience in job offered or as Patent Prosecution & Trademarks Intern - Background must include at least 90 days in paid or unpaid internships or employment focused on .
