A law firm in Springfield, MO, is seeking an Attorney to practice primarily in divorce, modification, paternity, adoption, guardianship, and additional areas, including criminal defense and estate planning. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in relevant legal areas and be in good standing with the Missouri Bar. Proficiency in MS Office programs is required, and experience with PC Law is a plus. Travel to SW Missouri courts is a necessary aspect of the role.

Duties:

• Represent clients in divorce, modification, paternity, adoption, guardianship, criminal defense, and estate planning cases.
• Provide legal advice, counsel, and representation to clients in various legal matters.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for court proceedings.
• Manage and maintain accurate case files and documentation.
• Attend court hearings and proceedings, including those in SW Missouri courts.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and legal staff to ensure effective legal services.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to and good standing with the Missouri Bar.
• Prior experience in divorce, modification, paternity, adoption, guardianship, and other areas of law.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with PC Law software is a plus.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
