Job Description:

Visa is seeking a proactive and experienced product and commercial lawyer to join its legal team supporting Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA). In this role, you will provide legal guidance to one of the fastest growing teams at Visa and work closely with business clients to understand and achieve key objectives. As a member of the Value-Added Services legal team, you will draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, provide counseling and advice on product development and deployment, and manage regulatory support and evaluation. This is a hybrid position, with the expectation of being onsite 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, negotiate, and finalize complex commercial agreements
• Provide legal guidance to business teams on product development and deployment
• Manage regulatory support and evaluate potential impacts on Visa and its partners
• Review marketing materials and external documentation for compliance with laws and policies
• Collaborate with regional legal and business teams globally to resolve issues and maintain consistency
• Advise on transactional legal matters and corporate actions

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Member in good standing of a State Bar or ability to become barred/in-house counsel in state of employment
• Strong academic credentials
• Experience in payments, financial services, technology, or fintech industries
• Ability to integrate legal advice and business knowledge to provide balanced guidance
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Transactional background with experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
• Knowledge of privacy and competition laws
• Business acumen and ability to anticipate potential issues

• Full-time, hybrid position (onsite and remote)
• Travel required 5-10% of the time
• Work hours vary based on department needs
• Mental and physical requirements include sitting/standing at a desk, communicating in person and by phone, and operating standard office equipment
