Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking an Energy Regulatory/Corporate Associate Attorney with 4-5 years of energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance experience. Duties:

  • Handle regulatory and compliance matters related to energy transactions before various state energy regulatory commissions.
  • Manage cases and advocacy involving the Texas Public Utility Commission, Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), and other ISO/RTOs or organized power markets.
  • Advocate before state utility commissions on behalf of the firm's clients.
  • Oversee and participate in power transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and power sales.
  • Provide legal counsel on a range of related energy matters.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance experience.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Active Bar license in CO.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Superior judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Articulate legal strategies and courses of action.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in Colorado.
