RSM, a global provider of professional services, is seeking a talented and experienced Director to join our Risk Consulting Services practice. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build teams, develop people, and serve clients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while also achieving your own career goals and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Job Responsibilities: - Consult with client leadership on the design and optimization of controls, utilizing your knowledge of business processes, accounting, and information technologies. - Provide strategic guidance to clients on business matters and help them anticipate emerging risks and opportunities in the technology field. - Oversee engagement teams in identifying and assessing internal IT controls, determining risk exposures, and developing recommendations and reports for clients. - Lead external financial statement, SOX compliance, and internal audit/SOX engagements, specifically with a focus on IT general controls, operational risks, and risk management processes. - Evaluate and test application controls, including automated controls, on a wide range of ERP systems and software applications for a variety of client business processes. - Lead engagements related to SOC attestation and other third-party opinion services. - Manage a diverse book of business, ensuring profitability, effective delivery, and engagement risk for all client work. - Recruit and retain future leaders within the firm by mentoring staff and providing performance feedback. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, accounting, MIS, computer science, or related field. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in information technology risk management, internal audit, or public accounting/consulting, with at least 5 years at a public accounting or professional services firm. - Experience leading engagements and managing project financials. - Strong understanding of information technology controls and security, particularly in financial applications and ERP systems. - Executive-level knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards (. SOX, AICPA SOC Reporting Standards, COSO, COBIT, FFIEC, ITIL, ISO27001, PCI, HIPAA, and GLBA). - Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, and/or CIPP. - Track record of successfully cultivating new business and driving growth for the risk consulting practice. - Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills. - Ability to travel up to 30% for client needs.
