Paralegal Position in Denver, CO - Join a Growing Law Firm!

Overview:

- Opportunity for a paralegal to join the expanding Denver office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood and Boyer, a leading minority and women owned law firm.
- Hands-on position working closely with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and clients in first party insurance bad faith and general insurance defense litigation.
- Ideal candidate will have defense litigation experience and strong organizational skills.
- Flexible work environment and remote options available.

Responsibilities:

- Organize and analyze documentary evidence including medical records, reports, depositions, discovery, claims files, and other documents.
- Prepare and handle tracking and disposition of subpoenas and other requests for records and information.
- Preparation of chronologies and summaries as requested.
- Draft and prepare correspondence and other written documents under attorney direction.
- Conduct research and investigation of witnesses and experts.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts.
- Monitor files and proactively identify next steps in case.
- Provide supportive role to attorneys with trial preparation tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient handling of cases.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of prior paralegal experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Experience handling subpoenas and responding to discovery.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Adobe, Power Point, Outlook and Excel.
- Critical thinking skills, superior communication and organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, paralegal certificate a plus.
- Experience capturing billable time a plus.
