**Job Overview:**

Clark Hill, PLC is seeking an attorney with 4-6 years of construction litigation experience for its Construction Business Unit in Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco, CA. All candidates must have the following experience: trial preparation and courtroom experience, including file responsibility, motion practice, and deposition experience; strong advocacy, research, writing, and negotiation skills. Prior experience in construction, engineering, or architecture is preferred. Successful candidates must have excellent analytical skills and be detail-oriented, highly organized, and must possess a solid work ethic. Experience with insurance defense processes is considered a plus. All candidates must have a strong academic record from an ABA-accredited law school and must be currently licensed to practice law in California.

**Job Responsibilities:**

* Prepare and present cases in court or before other tribunals
* Research, analyze, and interpret legal documents and case law
* Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents
* Negotiate settlements of disputes
* Advise clients on compliance with applicable laws and regulations
* Represent clients in litigation
* Review contracts and other documents for legal compliance

**Qualifications:**

* 4-6 years of construction litigation experience
* Must have the following experience: trial preparation and courtroom experience, including file responsibility, motion practice, and deposition experience
* Strong advocacy, research, writing, and negotiation skills
* Prior experience in construction, engineering, or architecture is preferred

**Compensation:**

The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $140,000 -$165,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, Clark Hill offers employees the ability to participate in health insurance with optional HSA/FSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, 401K, vacation, sick time, parking/public transportation allowance, and an employee assistance program.
