Duties
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a variety of family law cases.
- Represent clients in court hearings and legal proceedings as necessary.
- Assist with the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce cases.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, other departments, and outside agencies to ensure seamless case management.
- Develop case strategies by gathering information, conducting legal research, and providing guidance to clients for case preparation.
- Manage client interviews and case meetings while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Efficiently delegate tasks to team members, maximizing the use of available resources, technology, and attorney expertise.
- Contribute to achieving individual and firm-wide goals, maintaining a balance of independent work and teamwork.
Requirements
- Active California Bar License.
- At least 5 years of experience in Family Law.
- In-depth knowledge of Family Law principles, court procedures, and legal strategies.
- Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to think critically, perform legal research, and develop case strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience handling legal issues related to family law, and providing actionable legal advice.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, Armenian, or other languages is a plus.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
