This includes pre-trial preparation, court appearances, motions, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trial. We are looking for someone with a strong courtroom presence and a proven track record of winning, including at least 2 jury trials as first chair. H2: Duties and Responsibilities - Meet with clients and file lawsuits - Handle written discovery - Schedule and attend fact witness depositions - Retain and work with appropriate experts - Attend hearings and mediations - Prepare cases for trial and try cases to verdict - File post-trial motions - Participate in file audits, litigation attorney meetings, and trial clinics H2: Qualifications and Skills - A license in good standing to practice law in Florida - Proven track record of success, including jury trials as first chair - Ability to handle a large and active caseload from filing through verdict - Experience providing direction and guidance to a team of staff - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong negotiation skills - Analytical and research skills H2: Benefits - Paid Time Off (PTO) plus 8 paid holidays - Bonuses - Medical Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, STD & LTD, and other medical coverages) - Bereavement Leave - Hospital Leave - Group and Optional Life insurance - 401(k) with company matching H2: Compensation Total compensation is commensurate with experience.
