The Business Acceptance Counsel at Armstrong Teasdale, a leading law firm, is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of new business into the firm while managing and mitigating the risk of conflicts. This role requires collaboration with key stakeholders, including lateral attorney hires, to maintain the firm's high standards of quality and efficiency in client intake processes.

Job Title: Business Acceptance Counsel

Experience Information:
- degree required
- Licensed to practice law in one or more jurisdictions
- Intermediate Excel skills and knowledge of legal technology systems preferred
- Prior experience in conflicts searching, corporate research, new business intake, risk management, or document management software is a plus

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate conflicts analysis for potential lateral attorney hires
- Act as a point of contact during the onboarding process for lateral attorney hires
- Maintain conflicts database and serve as a resource for conflicts resolution
- Collaborate with Pricing, Billing, and Technology teams to manage existing client matters
- Monitor work output and ensure timely delivery
- Proactively seek opportunities for process innovation and efficiency in client intake

Required Education:

Preferred Education: N/A

Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Licensed to practice law in one or more jurisdictions

Required Experience: Intermediate Excel skills and knowledge of legal technology systems

Physical Activity: Prolonged sitting and computer work

Travel Required: 10%
