Sands Anderson PC is a well-respected law firm located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We are currently seeking experienced attorneys with a focused portable construction practice to join our team.

If you have at least six years of experience in construction law and a strong background in drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as litigating construction claims, we want to hear from you. Our ideal candidate will also have knowledge and experience in bonds, sureties, mechanic’s liens, public contract law, and prompt payment law. Familiarity with AIA forms and LEED certification is a plus.

Job Description:

As an experienced construction attorney at Sands Anderson PC, you will be responsible for handling a variety of legal matters related to construction projects. This may include drafting and negotiating contracts, advising clients on regulatory compliance, and litigating construction-related claims. You will also have the opportunity to defend matters before the Construction Board, if you have experience in this area.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have at least six years of experience in construction law. Candidates with experience in drafting and negotiating contracts and litigating construction claims will be given preference. You should also have knowledge and experience in bonds, sureties, mechanic’s liens, public contract law, and prompt payment law. Familiarity with AIA forms and LEED certification is a plus.

In addition, we are looking for candidates who are licensed to practice in Virginia and North Carolina. However, we also welcome remote candidates who are licensed in other states.
