Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with a focus on construction law to join its growing litigation team. This role provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment handling complex construction-related disputes. Duties

  • Represent clients in construction-related litigation and dispute resolution.

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

  • Assist in trial preparation, depositions, and courtroom proceedings.

  • Analyze and utilize electronically stored information in case preparation.

  • Provide legal counsel to clients regarding construction law matters.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies.

  • Stay up to date with developments in construction law and related legal areas.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.

  • Minimum of two years of litigation experience, preferably in construction law.

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Some courtroom experience, including motion hearings or trial assistance.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with electronic discovery and document review tools.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Missouri and Kansas State Bars.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Strong organizational and case management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a legal team.

  • Attention to detail and critical thinking in legal analysis.
