Job Description:

WSHB, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking an experienced associate attorney to join their Rio Grande Valley office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in defense litigation, with a strong understanding of Texas State Bar regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with lead attorneys on all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, reporting, discovery, depositions, and trial presentation
- Handle a variety of civil litigation matters for corporate clients and insurance carriers
- Emphasize strategic thinking to meet client objectives
- Collaborate with lead attorneys across offices and practice areas
- Conduct legal research and writing
- Maintain a flexible work from home policy
- Uphold the firm's commitment to diversity and inclusion

Qualifications:

- Admitted to the Texas State Bar
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in defense litigation
- Experience in transportation, catastrophic injury, commercial disputes, construction, medical malpractice, and/or healthcare matters is preferred
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Motivated, forward-thinking, and innovative mindset
