Summary:
The Senior Privacy Analyst will work with the Privacy Officer and privacy team to ensure compliance with . federal and state privacy laws and regulations. This includes HIPAA/HITECH, CCPA, and international privacy regulations related to information security. The position is located in Secaucus, New Jersey and is a full-time, on-site role with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The Senior Privacy Analyst will conduct research and development of policies and procedures, investigate and respond to complaints and incidents, and communicate with patients regarding privacy concerns. They will also work with business leaders to develop solutions for privacy issues and analyze data privacy incidents to determine trends. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a health care company or law firm, with a background in privacy issues, laws, and regulations. A degree or certificate in a related field is preferred, and healthcare compliance and/or privacy certifications are a plus. The Senior Privacy Analyst must have strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to work independently and on a virtual team, and be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities. They must also have a thorough understanding of federal and state privacy laws and regulations, as well as expertise in MS Office and Quest business applications. Responsibilities:

- Conduct research and development of policies and procedures
- Investigate and respond to complaints and incidents
- Communicate with patients regarding privacy concerns

- Analyze data privacy incidents to determine trends
- Monitor privacy industry developments and research new laws and regulations
- Assist in the development of training materials for employees
- Provide support for privacy matters in different regions and functional areas
- Work with attorneys to interpret regulations and manage tasks and projects
- Support Privacy Officer with special assignments or projects as needed

Requirements:

- 3-5 years of experience in a health care company or law firm
- Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws and regulations
- Project management experience and ability to prioritize activities
- A degree or certificate in a related field is preferred
- Healthcare compliance and/or privacy certifications are a plus
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and on a virtual team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and Quest business applications
