Mirick O’Connell, a well-respected and leading law firm in Massachusetts, is currently looking for an experienced elder law attorney to join our team. With offices in Worcester, Westborough, and Boston, we are committed to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. We are seeking a senior-level attorney to focus on our growing elder law practice on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket.

Job Description:

As an experienced elder law attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal services to our clients in the areas of MassHealth and other government benefit programs for elders, asset restructuring, and estate planning. You will also have the opportunity to make presentations to groups of elders at senior centers and other venues. In addition, you will be expected to draft and prepare related documents for asset protection. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong understanding of elder law issues and excellent presentation skills to effectively communicate with seniors.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in elder law
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in Massachusetts
- Strong knowledge of MassHealth and other government benefit programs for elders
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and collegial environment

Responsibilities:

- Make presentations to groups of elders at senior centers and other venues
- Prepare and file applications for MassHealth and other government benefit programs for elders
- Handle asset restructuring and related issues
- Draft and prepare estate planning and other asset protection documents
- Provide exceptional client service and maintain effective teamwork
