Qualification and Experience The qualified candidate has significant experience representing servicers and lenders in connection with the workout and enforcement of distressed commercial real estate loans. Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating loan documents, modifications, forbearance agreements, and similar documents; reviewing, analyzing, and managing legal due diligence (including organizational documents and structure; title, survey, and lease review; and legal opinions); and managing and closing complex commercial real estate loan workout transactions is essential. Experience with CMBS loans and hospitality finance is a plus. The ideal candidate is comfortable training and managing junior associates and paralegals. Prior law firm experience required. The successful candidate has excellent oral and written communication skills, and an outstanding academic record. Candidates must hold a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction’s bar.
