Foley Hoag, a leading law firm, is seeking a highly qualified associate with 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution. The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree, preferably a ., in Chemistry.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and prosecute patent applications in areas of medicinal chemistry, small molecules, pharmaceuticals, synthetic methods, polymer science, and drug discovery
- Collaborate with partners and gain significant responsibility in client matters
- Develop a depth of experience in patent strategy, drafting, prosecution, and diligence matters
- Communicate effectively with clients through verbal and written communication
- Stay updated with USPTO eligibility criteria and pass the registration exam within a year of joining

Requirements:

- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Registered patent attorney or willingness to take and pass the USPTO registration exam within a year of joining

Compensation:

- Salary range of $220,000 to $300,000 based on experience and qualifications
