Job Overview: A leading creditors' rights law firm is seeking a talented Lead Associate Attorney for its Georgia office. Location:
Duties:
- Assist with the firm’s Georgia practice and oversee litigation matters
- Handle hearings and contested matters in the state of Georgia
- Mentor and guide junior attorneys
- Monitor the progress of cases and develop strategies to bring matters to resolution
- Review documents, financials, notices, and demand letters prior to filing actions
- Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate legal actions
- Ensure all internal systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism
- Safeguard compliance with relevant state and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements
- Participate in discovery and trial preparation
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of litigation or collections experience (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, volume-based environment
- Proficiency in drafting motions and handling routine, uncontested hearings
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Bar membership in Georgia (required)
- Additional bar memberships in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and/or Pennsylvania are a plus
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Bar membership in Georgia (required)
