Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to provide legal counsel on a variety of real estate matters. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience in real estate law, covering commercial, office, retail, industrial, residential, recreational, and mixed-use developments. This role involves advising clients on land acquisition, contract preparation and negotiation, leasing, financing, development, construction, and addressing municipal, zoning, and tax-related issues.

Duties:
- Provide legal counsel to individuals, businesses, and governmental entities in all aspects of real estate transactions.
- Handle land acquisition, contract preparation, and negotiation.
- Advise on leasing and financeable ground leasing.
- Assist with real estate development, financing, and construction projects.
- Address issues related to municipal incorporation, annexation, subdivision, and zoning.
- Provide counsel on tax incentive structures and zoning issues in real estate transactions.
- Optional: Provide expertise in tax structuring for real estate transactions and ownership entities.
Requirements:
- Six or more years of experience in real estate law, with a broad range of experience in commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
- Strong experience in contract negotiation, leasing, land acquisition, and real estate finance.
- Expertise in municipal and zoning law, tax incentives, and other real estate regulations.
- Experience with tax structuring in real estate transactions is beneficial but not required.
- Strong ability to handle complex legal matters and provide strategic advice to clients.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active member of the state bar in good standing.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of real estate law, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use development.
- Ability to advise on complex real estate financing and construction projects.
- Experience with tax incentive structuring in real estate is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and legal research skills.
