Los Angeles office of our client seeks an associate attorney with 1-2 years of civil litigation or employment law experience. The candidate will work representing the clients in all areas of employment law, including cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. Will have extensive client contact and the opportunity to work on cases in a variety of contexts including federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agencies. Researching, drafting and opposing substantive motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment, Demurrers, Discovery Motions such as Motions to Compel, protective orders and Motions to Quash Writs and Appeals. Experience in making court appearances and arguing motions in the trial court, and in taking and defending depositions and preparing clients for deposition testimony are preferred. Spanish-speaking skills is helpful.
