Summary:

BDO, a leading global accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for their Core Tax Services team in the Real Estate/Construction industry. This role will involve advising clients on tax implications, selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden, and acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. The Tax Senior Manager will also be a critical member of the office leadership team and participate in marketing and business development. Job Duties:

- Provide tax compliance services to clients, ensuring compliance with all applicable authorities and minimizing tax burdens.
- Conduct top-level reviews of tax returns and resolve any issues with clients.
- Identify when research is needed and effectively communicate the analysis.
- Apply knowledge of ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) and firm policies to tax accruals.
- Assist with developing and implementing tax strategies to decrease client taxes and manage risk.
- Develop a deep understanding of one or more tax specialties.
- Introduce and develop new ideas to improve client and firm positions.
- Supervise and train associates and senior associates.
- Schedule and manage workload for team members and provide performance feedback.
- Act as a career advisor to team members.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required; Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
- Eight or more years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting/professional services.
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with tax research databases and compliance software.
- Strong communication, delegation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and manage a team of tax professionals.
- Executive presence and ability to effectively develop and maintain client relationships.

Salary Information:

- California Range: $146,000 - $200,000
- Colorado Range: $120,000 - $185,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $150,000 - $199,000
- Washington Range: $150,000 - $200,000
