This position is based out of the Fort Lauderdale office but would require some travel throughout the state. The ideal candidate must be admitted to practice in Florida and have at least 1 year of prior experience handling third-party insurance defense and/or transportation matters. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in court or before government agencies, preparing and drafting legal documents on behalf of clients, advising clients on business and legal transactions, negotiating settlements for legal disputes, complying with all legal standards and regulations, conducting initial investigations, and preparing consistent reporting for clients detailing significant case developments. Qualified candidates will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to build rapport with clients, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, an understanding of legal research, and a working knowledge of court procedures and legal documents. This is a full-time position and a 401k and benefits package are available. Salary requirements, along with a resume and references, should be provided. The ideal candidate would have between 1 and 4 years of experience, preferably with insurance defense litigation, trucking and transportation litigation. Candidates must be admitted to practice in Florida. This is a full-time position with a 401k and benefits package available.
