Job Title: Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation / Insurance Defense) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience Department: Civil Litigation / Insurance Defense Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 Boyd & Jenerette, a leading civil litigation law firm, is seeking a driven and experienced Associate Attorney to join our team. Our firm represents a diverse range of clients, including public and private business organizations as well as insurance companies. We are committed to changing the way defense firms do business and are looking for an Associate Attorney who shares this vision. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys and gain valuable experience in providing legal counsel to our clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting legal research, drafting documents and pleadings, communicating with clients and experts, and assisting with trial and deposition preparation. You may also have the opportunity to represent clients in court and depositions. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and a Florida Bar Admission. Excellent communication skills, time management, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this position. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are also important qualities for this role. This is a full-time, exempt position with a varied work schedule. The work location can be either in our Jacksonville, FL office or fully remote within Florida. Responsibilities: - Prepare legal documents and correspondence for contract negotiations and proceedings. - Conduct legal research and attend hearings and other legal proceedings with the guidance of senior attorneys. - Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients, and negotiate on their behalf. - Communicate effectively with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients. - Maintain client files and ensure up-to-date information is available for other attorneys and support staff. - Other duties as assigned. Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role. - Florida Bar Admission. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Strong time management and problem-solving abilities. - Attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Meet expectations for billing goals.
