Job Title: Vice President, Digital Assets and ETF Legal Counsel
Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a lawyer in a major law firm or the legal department of a leading digital asset financial services organization
Salary Range: $175,750 - $229,500 (for California only)

Role Description:

- Provide legal advice and support for BlackRock's . ETF business, with a focus on digital assets
- Assist with new fund launches and enhancements for existing funds
- Draft and update SEC registration statements and other regulatory documents
- Manage outside counsel and review fund documents
- Advise business teams on key initiatives and special projects
- Conduct research and draft comments on regulatory proposals
- Draft and negotiate contracts with service providers, intermediaries, and clients
- Work closely with compliance function to enhance internal policies and procedures

Qualifications:

- . from a nationally-recognized law school with superior academic credentials
- At least 5 years of experience as a lawyer in a major law firm or the legal department of a leading digital asset financial services organization
- Strong understanding of digital assets, blockchain, and distributed ledger technology
- Familiarity or interest in asset management and advising mutual funds, ETFs, or other collective investment products preferred
- Exceptional analytical, written, verbal, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex legal, compliance, and business issues in a clear and understandable way
- Desire to develop expertise in new or unfamiliar areas of law
