Job Overview:
A boutique law firm specializing in plaintiff’s employment litigation is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload while working closely with a Partner to develop strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for employment law and at least two years of litigation experience. Location:
Duties:
- Take and defend witness and expert depositions.
- Attend court appearances and argue substantive motions.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda.
- Propound and respond to written discovery.
- Evaluate liabilities, damages, and risks in each case.
- Assist with pre-trial and trial matters.
- Work closely with a Partner to strategize case developments and optimize results for clients.
- Manage cases autonomously while collaborating with the team.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law.
- Superior legal research and writing skills.
- Strong judgment and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and witnesses.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-activity environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Admitted to practice law in California.
Education & Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in California.
Certifications:
- California State Bar License
Skills:
