A law firm in New Orleans is actively seeking an Associate Attorney to join its expanding insurance defense and insurance coverage groups. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with lead attorneys, participating in all phases of litigation, with a focus on strategic thinking to achieve client objectives. The role requires excellent research and writing skills, along with 1-5 years of relevant experience in insurance defense litigation. Candidates must be licensed in Louisiana.

Duties:

• Collaborate with lead attorneys in all aspects of litigation, including investigations, case evaluation, discovery, depositions, and trial presentation.
• Emphasize strategic thinking to meet client objectives and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Evaluate and report on cases, ensuring effective communication with clients.
• Maintain a general familiarity with carrier billing and reporting guidelines.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Louisiana.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Strong research and writing skills.
