The Alsandor Law Firm is currently seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our team in Houston, TX, US. This is a great opportunity for a newly licensed or minimally experienced attorney to gain valuable experience in family law and work with a collaborative team of legal professionals.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating well-drafted legal documents, arguing on behalf of clients, and working closely with paralegals and lead attorneys to ensure a smooth litigation process for each client. You will also have the opportunity to attend mediations, negotiate with opposing counsel, and litigate hearings and trials involving custody, support, and property issues.

To be considered for this position, you must have a Juris Doctorate and be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. Previous experience in family law is preferred, as well as experience working in a legal clinic. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $85,000 to $110,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

- Create well-drafted legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
- Advocate for clients in court and skillfully argue on their behalf
- Solve and prevent client legal problems by providing sound legal advice
- Work closely with paralegals and lead attorneys to ensure a swift and efficient litigation process for each client
- Serve, answer, and compel discovery to gather necessary information for cases
- Litigate hearings and trials involving custody, support, and property issues
- Attend mediations and negotiate with opposing counsel to reach favorable outcomes for clients

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- License to practice law in the State of Texas
- Previous experience in family law preferred
- Experience working in a legal clinic is a plus
- Ability to assist in handling all aspects of family law cases, from initial pleadings to post-judgment matters
- 0-3 years of experience in the legal field
