Duties:

  • Draft foundational estate planning documents with a high degree of customization
  • Advise clients on the design and structure of revocable living trusts
  • Research estate planning, tax issues, and related areas
  • Coordinate and update template documents, letters, and internal procedures
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to improve drafting skills and meet client needs
  • Provide client-facing services, including consulting on estate and gift tax issues
  • Manage tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines while maintaining quality

Requirements:

  • California Bar membership in good standing
  • 1-3 years of experience in estate planning preferred
  • Strong interest in developing drafting skills and learning from senior attorneys
  • Solid knowledge of estate and gift tax law
  • An LLM or background in tax law is a plus
  • Familiarity with corporate matters affecting closely held companies is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with clients
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar
