Job Title: Public Law & Litigation Attorney (Hybrid)

Experience: Minimum of five years of experience, including representation of public entities in litigation, experience with governance and accountability issues, and admission to the California State Bar.

Location: Candidates will be considered for the following DWK offices: San Francisco, Long Beach, San Diego, Sacramento, East Bay, Fresno.

Salary: The anticipated annual salary wage range for this position is $140,000 - $175,000, with the final salary dependent on factors such as experience, education, and industry experience.

Responsibilities:

• Represent public entities in litigation, including civil writs.
• Handle governance and accountability issues, including open meeting and public records requirements.
• Utilize excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities.
• Experience presenting before governing boards is preferred.
• Prior school district representation is a plus.
