Duties

  • Lead and manage complex construction defect litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to clients on construction defect cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop case strategies and provide insights into litigation trends.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in construction defect litigation.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and litigating complex cases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • California Bar membership is in good standing.
  • Excellent professional references and a history of job stability.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership with the California State Bar.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of construction defect law and related litigation practices.
  • Experience in dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
  • Strong litigation and courtroom experience.
