Job Title: Junior Paralegal - Litigation Legal Assistant
Department: Litigation Department
Experience: 1-3 years

Zanes Law Personal Injury Lawyers, a renowned law firm in Tucson, is currently seeking a Junior Paralegal - Litigation Legal Assistant to join our expanding team. This is a full-time position with a salary range of - per hour, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a highly experienced litigation team, including attorneys with 25 and 20 years of experience, and assist in handling high-value civil rights, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury cases.

Responsibilities:
- Use Filevine and Outlook to manage firm's calendar and case management system, including recording important dates and deadlines from court notices and creating tasks for relevant events.
- Assist in deposition preparation and medical records summarization.
- Prepare pleadings and handle the discovery and disclosure process for Tier 2 and Tier 3 trial cases.
- Coordinate with court clerks and chambers to confirm dates and ensure compliance with court rules.
- File pleadings and paperwork with courts to meet deadlines.
- Draft correspondence, discovery requests, and certain pleadings.
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, doctors, and attorneys.
- Serve all necessary documents to involved parties.
- Create notebooks for attorneys for mediation, hearings, trial, and depositions.
- Organize claim files and maintain firm's litigation files.
- Stay informed on procedural rule changes.
- Manage the firm's conservatorship cases, including prepping paperwork and maintaining contact with clients.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the firm.

Requirements:
- Knowledge of PACER, CM/ECF, AZ TurboCourt.
- Familiarity with Federal and Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure, Arizona Civil Practice Law and Rules, Arizona Rules of Court, Appellate Court Rules, and local practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Kofax, and Filevine Docs Plus.
- Ability to complete complex filings in paper and electronic forms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and able to work full-time, Monday-Friday.

Experience:
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume Personal Injury litigation office.

management of the firms’s conservatorship cases-prepping all paperwork, sending notifications and copies of all paperwork, and maintaining contact with these clients every 4 weeks
maintaining and organizing all the firm’s litigation files
any other duties as may be assigned

knowledge/skills/abilities:

knowledge of pacer, cm/ecf, az turbocourt
knowledge of federal and arizona rules of civil procedure, arizona civil practice law and rules, arizona rules of court, appellate court rules (ninth circuit, federal and az state) and local practices
knowledge of ms office suite, kofax and filevine docs plus
demonstrated ability to complete complex filings in paper and electronic forms
able to work courteously/effectively with others
able to raise potential defects with filings based on experience and knowledge
