Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, a top law firm in Atlanta, is seeking a highly qualified associate to join their Cyber Security & Privacy Practice and Technology Transactions Practice. This full-time position requires a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data security and privacy matters, with a focus on cyber incident response and counseling clients on federal, state, and international data privacy and security laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will also have experience in drafting and negotiating contract terms related to privacy and cybersecurity obligations, as well as a strong interest in specializing in this area at a law firm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work on data security and privacy matters, with a focus on cyber incident response and counseling clients on federal, state, and international data privacy and security laws and regulations
- Draft and negotiate contract terms related to privacy and cybersecurity obligations
- Advise on intellectual property issues and support M&A and financing transactions
- Handle complex commercial transactions involving technology procurement, enterprise software, cloud services, payment systems, technology distribution arrangements, consulting and professional services, and management of intellectual property assets
- Familiarity with legal issues relating to the Internet, open source software, data privacy and security, and emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence is preferred

Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in data security and privacy matters
- Experience with cyber incident response and counseling clients on federal, state, and international data privacy and security laws and regulations
- Strong interest in pursuing a specialization in privacy and cybersecurity at a law firm
- Prior experience in drafting and negotiating contract terms related to privacy and cybersecurity obligations or significant international privacy experience is a plus
- Familiarity with legal issues relating to the Internet, open source software, data privacy and security, and emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence is preferred
