Lead Counsel, AI Product - Exciting Opportunity at Meta!

Are you a highly motivated and energetic legal professional with a passion for technology? Do you have experience in product and regulatory counseling? If so, Facebook is looking for you to join our team as Lead Counsel for our AI product counseling team.

As Lead Counsel, you will provide legal guidance and risk mitigation strategies for our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning teams, as they navigate complex and evolving legal frameworks in this innovative space. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work on novel issues in a fast-paced environment, as we continue to build and scale our global community.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as primary legal partner for several AI product and policy teams
- Lead consensus building and coordinate legal advice across complex and multifaceted legal issues
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on external communications, policy development, and product development and launches

Minimum Qualifications:

- . (or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one . state bar
- 5+ years experience counseling clients in-house or in a law firm
- Experience with product or regulatory counseling related to areas of law such as consumer protection, privacy, data security, and intellectual property law
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications:

- In-house experience
- Understanding of AI and ML practices and underlying technology
- Experience in product counseling role building and supporting products

The salary range for this position is $167,000/year to $233,000/year, with the potential for bonuses, equity, and other sales incentives.
