Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in a range of legal matters, managing cases independently or collaborating with senior attorneys, depending on experience level.
  • Appear in state and federal courts, as well as administrative proceedings, providing professional representation aligned with your level of experience.
  • Draft and prepare essential legal documents such as briefs, memoranda, opinion letters, and various correspondence.
  • Deliver sound legal advice and consultation to clients, ensuring clarity and understanding of complex legal matters.
  • Conduct thorough research and provide creative solutions to legal challenges, staying up to date with the relevant legal landscape, including local and federal court procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, consultants, and opposing counsel, both in writing and in person.
  • Navigate demanding and high-pressure environments, responding to urgent client, office, and court requests on short notice.
  • Travel as necessary for court appearances, client meetings, or other legal obligations, with occasional extended travel required.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation, with the ability to handle a variety of legal matters.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court systems, including the associated rules and procedures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, courts, and other parties.
  • Experience with preparing comprehensive legal documentation and effectively managing legal strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel for case-related duties, including overnight or extended trips when necessary.

Educational and Certification Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active California State Bar membership.

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and find effective legal solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload and meet tight deadlines.
