Law Firm Seeks Litigation Associate in Chicago, IL

The law firm of Fox Rothschild is currently seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join our team in our Chicago, IL office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general commercial litigation and be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. We are not accepting resumes from search firms at this time.



Qualifications and Skills

Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.
Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
Experience in all aspects of general commercial litigation.
Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery.
Experience drafting and arguing motions, and deposition experience.
Trial experience a plus but not required.
Large law firm experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery.
Prepare and argue motions, as well as attend depositions.
Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials if necessary.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and management.



Requirements:

Juris Doctorate (JD) and license to practice law in the State of Illinois.
3-5 years of experience in general commercial litigation.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery.
Experience arguing motions and attending depositions.
Trial experience preferred, but not required.
Previous experience at a large law firm is strongly preferred.
