A law firm located in Springfield, MO, seeks a dedicated Renewable Energy Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its energy and natural resources strategic business unit. The ideal candidate will collaborate primarily with attorneys in this unit, possessing a minimum of 5 years of experience with wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions. They should demonstrate proficiency in leading scopes of work within a team and managing and overseeing more junior attorneys. Excellent academic credentials, a strong commitment to community service, and exceptional interpersonal skills are desirable. The candidate must hold an active Bar license or be willing to obtain one promptly.

Duties:

• Collaborate primarily with attorneys in the energy and natural resources strategic business unit.
• Handle wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Lead scopes of work within a team and manage and oversee more junior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice.
• Participate in negotiations and due diligence processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in renewable energy real estate.
• Experience with wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Active MO Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dedication to community engagement and environmental sustainability.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active MO Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
